National Event for Greek SMEs’ ESG Excellence
The event titled “ESG Uncovered: Guide for Innovative and Sustainable Practices for Enterprises” was held in person on October 3, 2024, at the SAE|E premises in Athens. This event marked a key milestone in the dissemination of the MESS4GE project’s outcomes, which aims to enhance awareness and facilitate the adoption of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles among SMEs.
The main objective of the event was to promote sustainable business practices and equip SMEs with the necessary tools to effectively integrate ESG strategies into their operations. The National Event for Greek SMEs’ ESG Excellence successfully met the requirements set forth by the project. The event attracted 40 participants. These attendees, primarily from Greek SMEs, represented a variety of sectors including finance, legal, and logistics, ensuring broad engagement from relevant industries.
Feedback collected via an online questionnaire showed a high rate of satisfaction with the organization of the event, with 80% of participants rating the event as excellent. The content and structure of the event were highly appreciated, with many attendees expressing interest in the tools and resources presented for implementing ESG practices. Furthermore, the rate of interest in the activities presented was also high, as indicated by participants’ positive responses and the strong engagement during presentations and Q&A sessions. This feedback highlights the success of the event in achieving its objectives of raising awareness and promoting sustainable ESG practices among SMEs in Greece.
