We are excited to share our ongoing progress in helping SMEs
engage with ESG reporting. Through our work, we aim to make
ESG evaluation and reporting more accessible and
understandable for SMEs, empowering them to evaluate their
impact, improve sustainability practices, and contribute to a
more responsible business environment.

The MESS4GE project reached an important milestone with its final Transnational Project Meeting (TPM),
held at the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. This pivotal gathering brought together project partners to
reflect on the journey we have shared, celebrate our accomplishments, and strategically plan the next
steps as the project nears its conclusion.

On January 23, 2025, the University of Nicosia in Cyprus was the vibrant host of the “International Event for SMEs: ESG Excellences,” a key moment for the MESS4GE project that brought together industry leaders, experts, and representatives from across Europe. This dynamic event provided a platform for sharing insights, challenges, and success stories surrounding Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

On October 30th, 2024, the MESS4GE project was presented at the 6th annual DISCUSS Learning Conference, hosted by IDEC SA. With over 100 participants in attendance, Zoe Batsi, a key representative of the MESS4GE initiative, delivered an insightful presentation outlining the project’s pivotal role in empowering European SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices into their strategies and reporting processes.

The event titled “ESG Uncovered: Guide for Innovative and Sustainable Practices for Enterprises” was held in person on October 3, 2024, at the SAE|E premises in Athens. This event marked a key milestone in the dissemination of the MESS4GE project’s outcomes, which aims to enhance awareness and facilitate the adoption of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles among SMEs.

The MESS4GE project is aligned with the new European Directive 2022/2464, published on December 16, 2022. The International Event of the MESS4GE project took place on May 22, 2024, at the SGS offices in Valencia. This highly anticipated gathering brought together a diverse audience, with 22 participants attending in person and 8 more joining online, making it a hybrid event designed to ensure broad participation and engagement. The event provided a platform to present the project’s key tools, share expert knowledge, and explore the challenges and opportunities SMEs face in their journey toward enhanced ESG practices.
